Top Hot Spot #1: Finland, Rovaniemi (Lapland)

The Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle is probably the most exciting place in Europe during the Christmas holidays. What can be better for kids and parents than to fall into the fairytale and become one of its actors? “Real winter” (with lots of snow, negative temperatures, and long-lasting nights) is guaranteed. Plus you will find the Santa Claus Park with a real Santa, huskies, snowmobile safaris, Ice Park and many other attractions. You and your family will be thrilled with this choice.

One thing I know for sure: if I was a kid, I would be extremely happy to visit a place like this.   Though we do not have any Guides in Finland yet, Rovaniemi is easy to reach (by car or plane), and you will have the one and only guide you will ever need -- Santa.

Top Hot Spot #2: USA, New York

There is no better place in the world than New York City to spend your winter holidays! It is definitely one of the premier destinations for Christmas Tourists.  It boasts the best shopping, the best Christmas trees and lighting, different ice skating rinks, dozens of shows and exhibitions, awesome restaurants and hundreds of entertainment opportunities for children – all in one place!  What’s more?  If you need a Private Guide in New York City, we are there to help you!

Top Hot Spot #3: Berlin, Germany

Berlin is another great holiday destination.  There are about 60 different Christmas Markets in Berlin. Gendarmenmarkt, Market at Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, Market at the Schloss Charlottenburg and on the Alexanderplatz are only few from this long list; you can spend an entire vacation migrating from one market to another.  Berlin is also a city of arts and has a rich program of holiday entertainment, providing everyone with the right place to spend a day.  Plus, our Private Guides in Berlin can help you to plan the perfect visit.

Top Hot Spot #4: The UK, Edinburgh

Next, the Edinburg Christmas program is awesome! There is the Great Santa run on December 11, one of the biggest Christmas fairs in Europe, Bungy Snowdome, Christmas Light Switch-Ons and many other things to do and see. Just ask our Guides to help you during your stay!

Top Hot Spot #5: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

If you prefer the sun and hot weather to snow and frost, you should go to Rio de Janeiro! Rio is perfect for any time of the year, but there are plenty events for you during the Christmas holidays. You can start with the festival for opening the world’s biggest floating Christmas tree and finish with an on-the-sand party on December 31st.   Of course, partying all the time is guaranteed. It will be a completely different experience from the typical snow-based Christmas, but you will have a blast!  We also have a number of great Private Guides to help you! Simply contact them, and you will find that they are very friendly and professional.

Top Hot Spot #6: Krakow, Poland

Another nice place to be during the holidays is Krakow. There is the standard Midnight Mass, the Christmas trees, Christmas Market, and carol singing, not to mention a beautiful city and excellent food! You’ll find all of the typical holiday attractions, plus a great national spirit and beautiful country!

Poland is great itself. If you have never been there, why not visit during the holidays? Our Guides would be glad to show you around and to share some of the typical Polish traditions!

Top Hot Spot #7: Paris, France

Paris is ‘hot’ all throughout the year, but during Christmas this romantic city becomes even more magical. The lighting is glamorous, and the restaurants are chic. Plus from November 7th through January 12th, the Disneyland Village has a full-fledged Christmas market, thematic parade, and other events dedicated to Christmas;  you will simply never regret a decision to spend your holidays here. So go ahead and ask our Guides in Paris to help you plan this special vacation!

Top Hot Spot #8: Russia, Veliky Ustyug

Now if you find yourself in Russia, don’t forget to visit the home of its popular fairytale hero, Father Frost (or Moroz Ivanovich.) This old present-bringing magician has his residence in Veliky Ustyug.  It provides visitors with the opportunity to be involved in the costume shows and to get to know all of the main fairytale heroes. So, if you are in Russia with the kids between December and January, Veliky Ustyug is definitely worth visiting.

Top Hot Spot #9: Nepal, Kathmandu

Finally, you may want to spend your holidays in silence and away from the crowds.  How about a trek to Nepal?  Just open your mind to a new and unusual Christmas experience. It could become a perfect replacement to the widely advertised travel spots. Our professional Guides in Kathmandu would be happy to show you how!
