Tour description

The 1st day, meet up at the airport/hotel in the morning at 3.45am. Drive 1hour to Borobudur for the sunrise. Walk around Borobudur temple for 1,5hours then continue to go to the village nearby to explore it by bicycle or horse cart. Explore the local activities, learn to play gamelan ( Javanese instrument ) and learn to cook traditional snack by a village tour by bicycle or horse cart. Next place to visit are Pawon and Mendut temple, the temples which related to Borobudur temple. The local resto is just 1km away, it is time to enjoy the local Javanese food. Continue drive for 1hour to Mt Merapi to do 2hours adventure tour by 4WD jeep, drive you further up through the ruins of the villages after the big eruption on 2010.
The 2nd day, start the tour at 8am, drive 45mins to Prambanan Temple as the grandest temple, the most beautiful Hindust temple in the world with a carving story of Ramayana and Mahabarata. After 1hour explore this temple then we will continue to drive another 45mins to Kraton, a main direction of cultural development of Java, as well as the flame guard of the culture. Built in 1755, although already hundreds of years old and were damaged by the massive earthquake in 1867, Yogyakarta Palace buildings still stand firmly and well maintained. On the way to the Sultanate Palace, you will have chance to see the silver making process at Kotagede area since 1930s. After 1hours exploring the palace, it is a time to enjoy the local Javanese food for lunch. Continue to explore Tamansari for 30mins, a beautiful garden adorned with flowers. An old article described it as a "water castle" ( Dutch: waterkasteel ); as by shutting the watergates, the complex would be completely immersed in water, leaving tall structures standing out. Visit Batik factory before back to the hotel, the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO since 2nd October 2009. Batik industry is rooted in the city's long artisanal history, associated with the presence and blessings of the Sultan, wide open for visitors who want to see how the colorful fabric patterns are made. Back to the hotel for refreshment, get ready to see the Ramayana ballet perfomance tells the story of a legendary epic originally from India, presented in a series of graceful dance movements accompanied by gamelan music – an orchestra of traditional Javanese instruments. You will see the magnificient 1,5hours show to close the tour. Drive back to airport/hotel.
