Tour description

On this trip we are about to visit the Byzantine and Medieval monuments of mountain Imittos, east of Athens. These include 5th century's church of St. Mark next to the modern church of Taxiarches, Kesariani and Asteriou monasteries of 11th and 10th centuries, and finally Anthousa watchtower built in 17th century.
I will meet you at your hospital, or at the airport, and we will drive to the base of the mountain, from where we shall start walking
The nature is really beautiful in the Aesthetic forest of Kesariani, while the view on the city from above is astonishing.
The trip shouldn't be hard, the altitude difference is 300 meters, and the paths are really smooth. Despite that, I recommend that you choose the trip responsibly. Elder people can also participate if they are fit. Choose some sportswear, bring with yourself a raincoat and a clean shirt and of course your camera!
