Hello travelers! I am a professional interpreter and a tour guide, born and raised in Istanbul. I enjoy hosting and guiding people from all over the World around this magical city. I offer you an insider's look at the culture and life in Istanbul while stumbling into fascinating historical structures on our way.
What I offer
Basic tour starts at 9am in front of Hagia Sophia (once a Byzantine church, then transformed into a mosque and now a museum). After spending some time in Hagia Sophia we head to the Topkapi Palace (the palace from which the Ottoman Empire once ruled). Our 3rd stop is the Basilica Cistern (the largest of several ancient cisterns that lie beneath the city of Istanbul). Then we stop for a lunch so that you can find a chance to taste local delicacies. After lunch our next stop is the hippodrome Avenue aka Sultan Ahmet Avenue and Sultan Ahmet Mosque (a 4 centuries old mosque which is known for its blue tiles). And finally I take you to the Grand Bazaar (which consists of 4300 individual shops offering oriental ornaments and outfits). At the end of the tour I can take you to a nice restaurant for dinner at the Asian side of Istanbul by means of a boat trip on Bosphorus -this is optional and on my way to home.
