This tour is designed to introduce to you the ancient civilization of the Thracians - the oldest population on the Balkan peninsula, in the same time learning about the origins of wine - this God blessed liquid, that has been approved by many and denied just by some!
We will visit Rila monastery - one of 9 UNSESCO heritage sites in Bulgaria, stay in Melnik - popular small town with its underground tinnel wine cellars, Devin - a SPA town in the heart of the Rhodope mountains and relax there, then go to Brestovitza village and taste some wine from the Thracian valley and try typical Bulgarian wine in Assenovgrad - Mavrud. The fourth day will take us to Starosel where the biggest Thracian sanctuary was discovered, and taste some wine from this region. On the way back to Sofia - visit Koprivshtirza, the town where the April uprising started and gave the beginning of the strong movement for liberation of Bulgaria.
