Mera Peak Climbing

The adventure trek to Mera Peak begins from Lukla. The same day, the expedition to conquer Mera begins. As you begin to gain altitude, make sure your body can digest high altitude before you enter Hinku Valley via elevated Teng La Pass 4600m. Savor the breathtaking views of twin peaks Kusum Kanguru and Lumba Sumba Glaciers during the magnificent walk along the wilderness of Hinku valley until you arrive at Ghotar via Thule Kharka. Gain more elevation and arrive at the Mera Base Camp at Khare.

Acclimatize well before you cross over the elevated Pass Mera La 5415m to get into the lower Base Camp of Mera at 5,300m. Make a move to the last camp before climbing Mera Peak, which lies somewhere around Dig Glaciers. On a clear weather window, follow the instructions of your climbing leader and summit the Mera Peak. Feel proud to stand on the Mera summit, and savor the most beautiful vista of peaks including Mt. Everest, Makalu, and several others looming right before your eyes. The latter half of Mera Peak Climbing Adventure drops down to Khare and retraces the trail back to Lukla.
