Archaeological Museum in Europe
and maybe in world as to the Greco-Roman Period.
It houses 13,500 artefacts
and its most prestigious collections
are the ones that have got the findings
of Pompeii, Herculaneum and of the other Vesuvian
sites affected by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius
79 AD and the Roman collection named Farnese
that houses some of the biggest marble works
dating back to the Imperial Age.

artefacts found in Pompeii and Herculaneum
such as frescoes, statues, domestic items
(made of glas and terracotta and bronze and ivory),
jewels, mosaics, "erotica"
(in the famous Secret Cabinet)
